Join the Susitna River Coalition for our first event of the 2019/2020 Winter Speaker Series! Learn about your local utility (the Matanuska Electric Association) and the power YOU have as a member-owner (plus exciting opportunities for involvement).

If you pay your utility bills in the Mat-Su, you are a member of an energy cooperative (MEA). With the increasingly variable costs of oil and gas and a bigger market for renewable energy, it’s critical now more than ever that we decide our power.

Learn about what member-ownership means, how to participate in your utility, and some opportunities to make meaningful change in the Alaskan energy landscape.

The event is FREE. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

This event is made possible with support from the Chase Community Council Revenue Sharing Program and the Alaska Conservation Foundation.
